In 2008, U.S. lost 2.6 million jobs during the financial crisis alone. In Sweden job loss were around 135 000. After 2012 markets rose and its going down again due to rise in competition, technology advancement and higher manufacturing costs. Ericsson plans to cut 3000 jobs in Sweden due to profit slump announced in Q4 16. Other Telecommunication companies are also reducing workforce in Sweden.

Are we going to see another financial crisis? May be or may be not but increasing competition and reduced demand is pushing companies to reduce their workforce.

Such situation creates depression among the skilled laid off workforce. One study shows there were more than 10 000 suicides tied to economic crisis. Should we get worried and do nothing? Or start looking for new job? Or take control of your life and start your own business?

Inexpensive technologies, virtual markets and easy funding through crowdsourcing is changing entrepreneurship.
